The Samuel Centre for Social Connectedness

The Samuel Centre for Social Connectedness (SCSC) supports a global movement for social connectedness and belonging — one that brings together diverse people, supports individuals and communities to know their worth, and transforms social systems to become more inclusive, resilient, and connected. Founded in 2017 in Canada by Kim Samuel, the global organisation fosters connectedness through research, programming, partnerships and advocacy, bringing together the contributions of diverse scholars, students, advocates, and people with lived experiences.

Since its founding, the Centre has convened four global symposia and sponsored 87 Fellows serving 29 partner organisations all with the aim of identifying, employing, and scaling best practices for addressing the modern crisis of isolation across communities around the world.
